Learn the basics of what Chlorophyll is and how it can impact your health.

Chlorophyll is found in most plants, and is known as the “life’s blood” that flows within a plant. You can get chlorophyll from various herbs. Alfalfa and parsley are two which contain quite a bit of chlorophyll. When you buy chlorophyll supplements, they will most likely be made from these two herbs.

Packed with minerals, vitamins and supplements we need, chlorophyll can be a very useful herbal supplement. It is easily assimilated by our bodies due to the fact that the molecular structure of chlorophyll is very similar to the molecular structure of hemoglobin, or human red blood cells.

Some think of chlorophyll as the closest we have to a magic pill for what ails us. Due to its effects on so many body parts, the influence it has on our health and wellness, and its ability to correct many different health issues, chlorophyll is often thought of as a wonder drug. Some of its major impacts include the following benefits.

Probably the most important thing that chlorophyll does is cleanse, purify and heal. It is high in nutrition, containing a large variety of vitamins and minerals that we need. Chlorophyll helps to control and regulate our calcium levels in the blood, which is useful when women are menstruating. It can also help balance blood sugar levels, which affects the rest of our body systems. By regulating blood sugar, it is easier for you to lose and maintain your ideal body weight, as well as preventing heart disease and high blood pressure.

It is common to use chlorophyll as part of a cleansing diet or herbal regimen. Chlorophyll has the ability to cleanse the structure of cells while aiding in the creation of new cells. It can stop toxic bacterial growth, which leads to illness and disease, and it is a natural healer for many different chronic conditions.

Similar to comfrey, chlorophyll can accelerate the cell activity and growth, helping healing to happen at a faster rate. This ability makes chlorophyll a useful ingredient in poultices and salves, as well as in gargles if you are experiencing tonsil and throat problems.

Another unusual benefit of chlorophyll is the reduction of many body odors. It can help overcome bad breath and excess gas.
